— Why XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro

Built when the site gets bigger and harder.

The XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro sits in the lineup as the extended-range, high-output platform for medium-to-large environments, difficult outdoor conditions, infrastructure, and projects that benefit from vehicle or UAV deployment.

Large / complex environments

Range, density and deployment flexibility.

Choose the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro when a lightweight interior scanner is not enough: large campuses, long corridors, infrastructure, industrial facilities, roads, mines, forestry, and outdoor environments where range and point rate matter.

1 cm

Post-processed relative accuracy

Official L2 Pro v2.4 documentation lists 1 cm RMSE post-processed relative accuracy within 100 m.

5 mm

Point-cloud thickness

Official documentation lists 0.5 cm point-cloud plane thickness within 10 m of the walking path.

3 cm

Absolute accuracy

Real-time and post-processed horizontal / vertical RMSE with appropriate RTK or control workflows.

L2 Pro is not a single fixed scanner. Choose the LiDAR configuration around the scale, point density and sensor range required for the project.

— Choose your XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro

Three configurations. One platform.

01
16-channel · 120 m

Efficient professional capture

320,000points / second

A practical entry into L2 Pro for large building, AEC, facility and general mapping work where 120 m sensor range is sufficient.

03
32-channel · 300 m

Extended sensor range

300 mraw sensor range

Built for open environments where extended LiDAR reach matters. Useful point-cloud range still depends on reflectivity, coverage density and deployment method.

— XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro accuracy + real-time capture

Useful data while you are still on site.

L2 Pro combines rotating LiDAR, panoramic imaging, IMU, visual positioning, SLAM and RTK workflows to produce coloured point clouds in the field and higher-accuracy results after processing.

Real-time relative 2 cm RMSE

Official v2.4 documentation lists 2 cm real-time relative accuracy within 100 m.

Post-processed relative 1 cm RMSE

For measurement-driven workflows, post-processing improves relative accuracy.

Absolute accuracy 3 cm RMSE

Horizontal and vertical accuracy with appropriate RTK/control conditions.

Point-cloud thickness 5 mm

Plane thickness within 10 m of the walking trajectory in the documented workflow.

Capture is only the start. The XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro connects to LixelGO, LixelStudio and LCC workflows for field control, point-cloud processing, map fusion and photorealistic 3DGS reconstruction.

— Field to deliverable

One capture ecosystem. Multiple deliverables.

01
Capture

LixelGO

Connect to the scanner, configure the project, monitor capture and manage field workflows.

02
Process

LixelStudio

Post-process point clouds, apply control / RTK workflows, enhance data and manage larger datasets.

03
Fuse

Map Fusion

Fuse compatible ground capture segments into larger projects; current documentation supports up to 10 ground segments.

04
Visualize

LCC 3DGS

Use handheld L2 Pro capture in XGRIDS LCC workflows for photorealistic Gaussian Splatting and spatial experiences.

Important deployment distinction: vehicle-mounted and drone-mounted L2 Pro workflows are optimized around point-cloud capture; current XGRIDS documentation states vehicle-mounted mode does not support 3DGS or Map Fusion.
— Three ways to deploy XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro

Carry it. Mount it. Fly it.

The L2 Pro platform extends beyond handheld capture. True Point Precision also supports vehicle-mounted and DJI M300 / M350 aerial workflows.

— XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro FAQ

Before you choose the configuration.

What XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro configurations are available?
L2 Pro is available in 16-channel / 120 m, 32-channel / 120 m, and 32-channel / 300 m configurations. The 16-channel model captures 320,000 points per second; 32-channel models capture 640,000 points per second.
What is the accuracy of the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro?
Current XGRIDS v2.4 documentation lists 2 cm RMSE real-time relative accuracy and 1 cm RMSE post-processed relative accuracy within 100 m. Documented absolute accuracy is 3 cm RMSE horizontal and vertical under the specified RTK or control conditions.
What is the difference between the 120 m and 300 m L2 Pro?
The 300 m version extends the LiDAR sensor's raw ranging capability. Effective usable point-cloud distance depends on reflectivity, point density, motion and deployment method, so 300 m should not be interpreted as a dense guaranteed point cloud at every target.
Can the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro be vehicle mounted?
Yes. XGRIDS offers a dedicated vehicle-mount workflow. Current documentation recommends 20–30 km/h and lists 40 km/h as the maximum recommended speed.
Can the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro be mounted to a drone?
Yes. XGRIDS supports DJI M300 and M350 aircraft through the dedicated drone-mount kit. DJI SkyPort provides power and forwards RTK data to the L2 Pro.
Does vehicle-mounted L2 Pro support 3DGS?
Current XGRIDS documentation states the vehicle-mounted workflow supports colouring but does not support 3DGS, Point Cloud Enhancement or Map Fusion.
Can XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro create 3D Gaussian Splatting?
Yes, handheld L2 Pro capture is supported in XGRIDS LCC workflows for photorealistic 3DGS reconstruction. The workflow and capture recommendations differ from point-cloud processing.
How does XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro compare with XGRIDS Lixel L3?
Lixel L3 focuses on higher handheld accuracy, integrated RTK, stronger imaging and onboard display/processing. Lixel L2 Pro remains the range- and deployment-focused option, including a 300 m configuration plus vehicle and DJI M300/M350 mounting workflows.
